Creating Opportunities for
15,000 Young People
U-TURN's mission sits at the intersection of youth,
sports and ministry. We aspire to create a place where
young people can come together for athletic, social and
recreational opportunities that build performance,
character and a sense of community centered around
Christian principles.
U-Turn's current program services include: individual
and team athletic training in basketball, football, tennis,
soccer and volleyball; ten (10) AAU basketball teams;
four (4) USPAV girl's volleyball teams; seasonal
camps; community outreach and physical education
support services for diverse populations including
home-school, special and behavioral needs students.

Community and Beyond
U-TURN's commitment extends beyond its four walls.
We reach into the communities and neighborhoods of
Metropolitan Richmond. U-TURN is committed to
connecting the young people of Richmond to a sense
of higher purpose in the larger world and investing in
a transformational community outreach model with a
broad reach; one that builds on a successful model of
Christian faith through sports.

U-TURN is determined to create the best working
team by uplifting staff, board and community
volunteers. The team seeks to deliver industryleading
programs and constantly strives for
excellence in all areas through their commitment to
carrying out U-Turn's mission.
Resources
Generating Visibility and the Capacity for
High-Performance Growth
U-Turn is committed to establishing a diverse funding
stream by growing earned revenue and fully
developing a donor-centric fundraising program. We
are equally committed to raising our profile among
key constituencies whose support and engagement
is critical to our long-term success. U-Turn continues
to explore new ways to maximize our resources to
drive the strategic plan with an end goal of preparing
for a capital campaign within five years.
