    Training

U-TURN Sports Academy is a sports institute. Classes are full quarters in length (3 months/ 12 weeks).

Our quarter system goes as follows:

    • Fall: September to December
    • Winter: December to March
    • Spring: March to June
    • Summer: June to September

Athletes must go through skills evaluation to determine your program level. There are 4 levels in the soccer program: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite.

U-TURN Soccer focuses on specific skill development at every level: ball handling, dribbling, throw-in, shooting, crossing, transition, passing, teamwork, and goalkeeping.

    NEXT-LEVEL TRAINING (NLT I-II-III)
Next-Level Training is designed to provide a complete program focusing on the core aspects of athleticism and skill development. Each athlete will spend an hour on the court, an hour with Sports Science, and fifteen minutes in a devotion (in a predetermined order). In order to get to your Next-Level, we recommend that you come at least 2-3 times a week during a quarter. But as a family, you are able to choose between 1-3 times of training a week. NLT I meets on Mondays. NLT II meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. NLT III meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

    SKILL TRAINING (IN-SEASON)
Skill Training (In-Season) is designed to provide individual skill development time for the advanced or elite athlete. The athlete will spend an hour on the court targeting a specific skill or skill set.

    POSITION TRAINING
Position Training is designed to provide a position specific one hour regiment, so that the advanced or elite athlete can own their position.

    INDIVIDUAL AND SMALL GROUP TRAINING
These are private or semi-private lessons, in order to give the athlete more specific instruction or attention. (1:1 up to 1:4 ratio trainer/coach to athlete)

    Leagues

    FUTSAL LEAGUE
Futsal is derived from the Spanish or Portuguese word for "soccer" (FUTbol or FUTebol) and the French or Spanish word for "indoor" (SALon or SALa). The game is frequently referred to as Five-A-Side and is played on a small field (roughly basketball court sized) with a smaller/heavier size 3-4 ball. There are no walls in play. This is the game world class soccer players around the globe play to refine and maintain their control skills and touch.

To sign up for our Futsal league starting June 11- July 23rd, 2008, and camps June 16th-20th and July 14th-18th click here
