U-Turn @ Rollins' PGA Tour Benefit

Midlothian, VA (June 28, 2010) - It’s early Monday morning, and within just a few feet of an eight-foot statue of Thomas Jefferson, John Rollins is sitting with fellow PGA TOUR players Chris Stroud and Gary Woodland. Chad Campbell is nearby, at the next table. The golfers are in the lobby of the historic Jefferson Hotel thumbing through copies of the Richmond Times-Dispatch and USA Today and chatting away. They all know it’s a boiler in Virginia, with highs reaching 102 the day before and expected to “cool” down to a mere 99 as the new week gets underway.

The searing heat outside explains the shorts the quartet of golfers are wearing. On Mondays, PGA TOUR players don’t have a dress code. And when the mercury is approaching triple digits, shorts are a wise alternative. Even Jefferson seemingly agrees, as the Sage of Monticello, standing sentinel in marble, is wearing knee pants. ... “I saw a few of these events as a kid. They always looked like a lot of fun, and I remember thinking, It would be neat to do something like this someday,” Rollins said. “I wanted to have an event that would really help a community that’s been supportive of me over the years.” (read full article)

U-Turn, Titans 18 Open Bound After Super Show Me Sunday

Richmond, VA (March 31, 2010)- U-Turn Sports Performance Academy Volleyball (USPAV) team earned its 2010 bid to the United States Junior Olympic National Championship by finishing second in the USAV Mideast National Qualifier held in Indianapolis, IN on March 26th – 28th. U-Turn finished the tournament with a record of 11-1 losing it only match in the tournament finals to Iowa Rockets by the score of 25-22, 21-25, 13-15. It was the only match lost by U-Turn since mid-February giving the team an overall record of 66-7 for the 2010 season. This will be U-Turn’s second trip to the national champions in the past two years.

USPAV 18 Maintains State Bragging Rights by Winning Shamrock Festival

Richmond, Virginia - Richmond, VA (March 15, 2010) - U-Turn Sports Performance Academy’s Volleyball (USPAV) 18U girl’s team won the 18’s division of the 2010 Shamrock Volleyball Festival. U-TURN Boy's U 11 Futsal Team Wins National Championship

Richmond, Virginia - Feb 25, 2010 U-TURN Sports Performance Academy's Boy's U11 Futsal team recently returned to home from Kansas City with the Super F National Futsal Tournament Championship! The Super F tournament, which is in its 5th season, is the largest youth Futsal tournament in the United States. Noble Warriors and U-TURN teamed up to bring you the ultimate date night adventure and it was a HUGE success! In addition to couples playing basketball, volleyball, tennis, soccer and dodgeball, the ballroom dancing class and video game playoffs were a big hit! Healthy food was provided by the U-TURN Cafe which is open to serve you every day for lunch and dinner.
