U-TURN Basketball Training focuses on specific skills development at every level: Defense, Ball Handling, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Rebounding, Court Vision, Movement without the ball (cutting/screening), and Creating your own shot. Basketball specific training drills will improve your game, build strength and conditioning, and get you ready for the next level, whether it's high school basketball or an AAU basketball program.

 

TRAINING PROGRAM

 

U-TURN Sports Performance Academy is a sports institute. Classes are full quarters in length (3 months / 12 weeks). Our quarter system follows the structure below, however you may join a class at any time of year:

 

   - Fall: September to December

   - Winter: December to February

 

 
  •    - Spring: March to May

  •    - Summer: June to August

 

Athletes must go through a skills evaluation to determine their program level. There are 3 levels in the Basketball program: Basic Training, Next Level Training and High Performance Training.

AAU PROGRAM

    The U-TURN Basketball department is proud to support the best AAU program in Richmond! All of the kids who participate in the basketball training program at U-TURN are encouraged to try out for our AAU teams. Both programs work together to bring the best basketball program to your child in the Richmond, VA area.

     

Leagues

U-TURN has Basketball Leagues for boys in the summer and girls in the fall. This is a great time and place to get your high school team a preseason workout with our coaches. Watch for more info on the next league schedule.
