Let’s Chat with Brianna:

Question: What was the reason that you first came to U-TURN?
My father was researching for avenues for me to train after coming off of an ACL injury. I needed somewhere to get stronger and train after being released from physical therapy. I missed my whole sophomore year and summer travel basketball seasons.

Question: How do you think your experience at U-TURN has helped you in your high school career and getting ready for college life?
It made me a better person and player. I had the best season of my life, 14 double doubles games (10 or more points plus 10 or more rebounds).

Question: Why did you become a part of the COC-Community Outreach Council at U-TURN?
Because it fits my aspirations in life, in human behavior, public relations, and service to others, it is my spiritual gift.

Question: How did it feel for you and your parents to finalize the recruiting process and sign the National Letter of Intent to Gardner Webb?
We were excited and relieved that the recruiting process was over and that I would be able to go to school on scholarship while playing the game I love.

Question: What other schools were seriously recruiting you, and why did you choose Gardner Webb?
Hartford, Bucknell, Davidson, and Mount St. Mary’s were all heavy recruiters. I chose GW because I felt comfortable. I liked the campus size and the family atmosphere. They also had my major and the diversity mirrored my high school.

Question: Do you realize that Gardner Webb’s colors and U-TURN’s colors are the same, coincidence?
(chuckle) Yeah and yeah.

Question: What is your biggest fear of your first year in college?
FAILURE.

What do you mean?
On and off the court.
Don’t worry we are all behind you and you will always be in our prayers.

Question: What are your plans for this summer?

Train for the Next Level here at U-TURN with Coach Dickerson.
